The Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI has instituted the next World Youth Day (WYD), taking place in Sydney in July 2008, with the theme: "You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses.. " (Acts 1:8) We invite you to commit praying the prayer for A New Pentecost daily, together with young people across the Archdiocese of Singapore; as a response to the invitation from the Holy Father in his message for the preparation of the WYD 2008. "Together we shall invoke the Holy Spirit, confidently asking God for the gift of a new Pentecost for the Church and for humanity in the third millennium." During SACCRE (Singapore Archdiocese Catholic Charismatic Renewal) Youth’s Pentecost Rally 2007 at Church of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost (Sunday, May 27), Catholic youths (including some priests and seminarians) from 17 parishes dialogued and networked at a forum.
